Front Counter Team - Police Contact Enquiry Officers

Our Front Counter Team is the face of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary. Based across 19 police stations, our police contact enquiry officers provide vital support to the public and our internal teams – offering reassurance, guidance, and a professional service at every interaction.

Whether someone walks through the door needing help, calls for advice, or submits a report online, the Front Counter Team are there to assess their needs, gather information, and ensure they receive the right support.

  • Recording accurate information across a wide range of police systems
  • Maintaining station security and carrying out visitor identification checks
  • Booking and managing fingerprint appointments, and providing fingerprints to approved organisations
  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues when required

Every day brings something different – from helping vulnerable people to supporting frontline policing.
