Job Title: Vehicle Technician – HC622385

Location: Basingstoke

Salary: Scale 6, £36,247.00 – £38,329.00  per annum which includes a £4000.00 market supplement. Plus overtime opportunities. 

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Full time, 37 hours per week (The hours of work are Monday to Friday (08.00 – 16.30 Monday to Thursday and Friday 08.00 – 16.00).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police Transport Department are seeking skilled highly motivated Vehicle Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. The Vehicle Technician should have a strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills to ensure internal customer satisfaction. The staff, officers and volunteers of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police are here so that the people we serve, their families and our communities are safer. To deliver our quality public service, it is vital we can call upon our dynamic Police Fleet.

The successful applicant must be able to work under pressure and unsupervised on a variety of cars and vans, including vehicles fitted with police equipment. You must be capable of carrying out the repair process, from fault finding right through to completion, and all vehicle repairs and maintenance to our police fleet should be carried out to a high standard.
