Join Us – Represent Your Community
At Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, we are committed to building a truly diverse workforce. To serve our communities effectively, we need people from all backgrounds, experiences and walks of life.
We’re actively working to increase diversity by engaging with under-represented groups and communities. If you identify as part of an under-represented group, we’re here to support you through the application and recruitment process. We’ll also do that throughout your career with us.
Below, you’ll find videos and information about how to apply. It also shows the programmes we offer to support your development and success as a police officer.

Advance
Our Advance Programme
A key element of our
commitment to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive work force at all levels by welcoming difference. A group of sergeants, inspectors and staff from across the Force, each identified as having the potential for career progression to senior roles.
PDP
Potential Development Programme
This 12-month programme creates a challenging development environment for our high performers that may not currently have an interest in promotion and rank progression, but that just want to be their very best in current or lateral roles.
