With a diverse fleet of over 1,000 vehicles, including high-performance response cars, motorcycles, public order vans, and even boats, our technicians are the unsung heroes who ensure every officer has the reliable, mission-ready vehicle they need.
We’re looking for skilled, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Vehicle & Motorcycle Technicians to join our dynamic team at Basingstoke, Fareham and Winchester. The Role: Vehicle Technician
Every day brings something new. Working with high-specification and heavily modified vehicles, you’ll be:
- Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of fleet vehicles, from high-speed pursuit cars to vans fitted for national deployment
- Performing basic installation of police equipment and ensuring vehicles are fit for operational use
- Commissioning and decommissioning vehicles with precision
- Road testing and fault-finding with attention to safety and detail
- Supporting local and national policing events
You’ll work Monday to Friday (08:00–16:30 Mon–Thurs, 08:00–16:00 Fri), with opportunities for overtime. Each technician is provided with a dedicated ramp, tools, uniform, and full PPE.

- £36,247 – £38,329 per annum (including a £4,000 market supplement)
