Start on £33,164 (including a £2,000 South-East allowance), with your salary rising to over £50,000 after seven years of service.

Entry Routes

We offer three training options to joining as an officer, from here we will then help you choose your specialism, and support you if you would like to become a detective constable

Below is an overview of each option, but don’t worry we don’t ask you to choose now. Apply to be an officer and we will help you find which is best suited to you, and support you every step of the way.

Degree Holder Entry Programme – We are not currently recruiting via the DHEP route however we encourage you to apply to become an Officer and we will help you decide which entry route is best for you.

A 2-year path to becoming a Police Constable: no degree or diploma required.

A 2-year programme for graduates: show vision, drive, and determination, and unlock real career development.

Join through the apprenticeship route: blend hands-on experience with classroom-based learning for a dynamic start to your career
